In 1904, amid the rudimentary development of the automobile and air flight, and an explosive North Texas population, Ralph A. Porter opened his first real estate office in the Dallas suburb of Oak Cliff.

Twenty three years later Mr. Porter moved to University
Park, where he built the first office building on Snider Plaza.
There he represented his friend and developer C.W. Snider
in selling and leasing land on the Plaza. Through the years,
the company continued in residential sales and property
management in the Park Cities and North Dallas.
Today, Ralph Porter Co., Realtors remains a family run business on the same lot that was opened in 1927. It is the oldest residential real estate firm in Dallas County, managing and controlling approximately fifty percent of the buildings in Snider Plaza, and is a highly-respected member of the Metro-Tex, Texas and National Association of Realtors.
